City University of Cairo (CUC) - Capital of Science & Knowledge is an Egyptian private university established and operated according to the provisions of law no. 12 of 2009 of the private and national universities in Egypt and the executive regulations that were issued under the Presidential Decree no. 302 of the year 2010.
This university was founded as per Presidential Decree No. 53 of 2020.
All the issued certificates by the CUC are equivalent to those by the Supreme Council of Universities. Through applied and environmental programs, the CUC seeks to offer a highly performing distinguished graduate. Ths is in order to strike a balance between the university’s outputs and labor market needs. Through its educational programs, CUC looks forward to achieving the goals of sustainable development and presenting a new generation of Arab and African youth capable of coping with the accelerating changes which the world witnesses today.
Scientific research of the CUC aims to provide practical solutions for industry and production issues in order to optimize the utilization of the natural resources of our Arab and African region through numerous research and collaborative partnerships. The CUC has a section concerned with community service. It consists of the Industry Research Center and another Production Research Center and others.
A number of experts of industry, finance and business take part in the planning aspects of the university and finding solutions to the problems that impede community development on the local, Arab, and African levels.
City University of Cairo has been founded to be the capital of science and knowledge through the services it provides to students, researchers, and society thanks to its financial resources, state-of-the-art facilities, and expert professors and consultants.
The CUC has been founded according to the most updated systems that guarantee the interrelation of the academic community, research centers, service units, and the administrative system. Ths es in order to accomplish the best local and international criteria of quality assurance, by providing CUC’s services to students, researchers and the surrounding community with its material potential, modern constructions and an elite group of professors, experts and consultants.
The City University of Cairo is strategically located in New Heliopolis, a few minutes from the capital of the future Arab Republic of Egypt, which is a modern smart city of the fourth generation designed according to the latest international standards and trends.
The City University of Cairo (CUC) consists of five practical and theoretical faculties as follows:
