CUC Celebrates Mother’s Day and Honors Exemplary Mothers and Employees

Under the esteemed patronage of Professor Mohamed Ibrahim Ali, President of the University, and Dr. Tarek Marwan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, CUC hosted a heartfelt celebration in honor of Mother’s Day and the university’s exemplary mothers and employees.
Held in a joyful and warm atmosphere, the event reflected the University President’s commitment to fostering a spirit of family and appreciation among all staff members. The celebration took place at 1:00 PM on the university’s main theater stage, with the attendance of key university leaders, including Professor  Mohamed Sabry, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs and Dean of the Faculty of Art and Design; Professor  Amir Saleh, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Therapy; Professor  Medhat Abdel Aal, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Management; Professor Hassan Ali, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication; Dr. Tarek Galal, University Secretary General; and Major General Ayman Khafaga, Director of Administrative Affairs. The event also welcomed faculty members, administrative staff, and a large number of students.
The program began with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an by Fathy Abdel Aziz, a student at the Faculty of Engineering, followed by a welcoming address from the University President. In his speech, Prof. Mohamed Ibrahim Ali highlighted the vital role mothers play in shaping generations and building society. He praised their dedication and hard work, and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to recognizing outstanding mothers and dedicated female employees.
Professor Hassan Ali, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, also addressed the audience, expressing his admiration for working women and their role in supporting and inspiring their children toward excellence. He referenced the inspiring story of Mrs. Mabrouka, mother of the renowned Egyptian physician and former Minister of Health, Ali Pasha Ibrahim, emphasizing the profound impact women have in shaping the future of their communities.
The celebration also featured a touching poetry performance in colloquial Arabic by student Kareem Amgad from the Faculty of Engineering, followed by one of the event’s most delightful segments—a traditional Tanoura dance performance, which captivated the audience and created a lively atmosphere, with many students capturing the moment in photographs.
Toward the end of the celebration, several honored mothers expressed their gratitude for the recognition, noting how this thoughtful gesture strengthened their sense of belonging to the university and motivated them to continue giving their best.
