Professor  Mustafa Gouda

Professor Mustafa Gouda obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at North Carolina State University in 1981. He also obtained his Master's degree from the Department of Metallurgy at the University of Connecticut in 1977, and he obtained his Bachelor's degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Cairo University in 1968. He joined the British University in Egypt (BUE) in 2005 as a professor of Materials Science and Engineering. He became the Dean of Engineering college at the British University in May 2006. He served as Vice President for Research and Community Service in September 2011, Acting President in March 2013, and President of the British University in Egypt from July 2013 to July 2014. During that period, which lasted more than 12 years, he worked closely with all matters related to the British education system. He also served as Acting President of the International Capital University from September 2020 to September 2021.
Professor Dr. Mustafa Gouda is an active member in national organizations and committees that support the advancement of advanced materials in Egypt. He is a member of the Promotion Committee for Research Professors and Participating Research Professors at Mubarak City for Scientific Research and Technological Applications. He is also a member of the National Committee for New Materials at the Egyptian Academy of Sciences and Technology. Professor Dr. Mustafa Gouda has edited a book on the rare early works of Naguib Mahfouz, the Nobel laureate in Egyptian literature. Reuters agency published a report in Arabic about this book on March 8, 2007.


Vice Deans:
Professor Adel Nasser (Vice Dean for Student Affairs)

He is a professor of energy at the College of Engineering, City University of Cairo. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Cairo University (Egypt), a Master's degree in High-Temperature Gas Physics and Gas Dynamics from the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics, University of Southampton (England), and a Ph.D. degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Liverpool (England). He also spent a year at the University of Southampton, Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics as a Postdoctoral Fellow. He has extensive teaching experience (over 40 years) at Southholt College of Technology (England), Cairo University (Egypt), King Saud University (Saudi Arabia), Arab Gulf University (Bahrain), and Higher Technological Institute (Egypt). He has worked as a consultant for both  American University in Cairo and the Energy Planning Organization in the areas of renewable energy, energy conservation, and EiLAN energy. He has published numerous research papers in international journals and presented many research papers at international conferences.
