Department of Interior Architecture and Decor
Interior Architecture and Digital Design Program
Program Description:
The Interior Architecture and Digital Design program includes fundamental knowledge and skills related to interior spaces, their functions, and how they are designed in the horizontal and vertical dimensions, according to user requirements, enhancing the function and form of the space. It also covers color distribution methods, appropriate lighting techniques, materials and finishing methods, sustainability concepts, building systems, control and safety devices, as well as specifications determination, quantity calculation for design, legal rights, some administrative aspects, and communication skills related to specialized projects. Additionally, students acquire technical knowledge that includes digital applications related to the design process of the specialization, such as computer-aided design tools for modeling, analysis, representation, and visualization based on the designer's inputs, without overshadowing the design thinking foundation of the designer, achieving a balance between design thinking and digital skills, professional practice methods, supervision, and monitoring of project implementation.
