His Excellency obtained his Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina, USA in 1981. He has more than 40 scientific research papers specialized in the field of metallic materials and advanced steel. He held several positions, including a member of the National Committee for New Materials at the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology and President of the British University in Egypt from 2013 to 2014.
